Werewolf story

While Sue and I have sent out our 60,000 novel to Dreamspinner Press, hoping it will get
accepted, Eleanor and I are working on a new novella for Total E Bound. Currently entitled, “Possession is 9/10th of the Law,” it’s a werewolf story. Since I love shifter books, I thought it was about time we wrote one. 🙂 Progress so far:

New cover

LoveAt38kFeetEver since I got the rights back to my Coffee, Tea and the Mile-High Club book, I decided to re-write it as a novella with inter-weaving short stories focused around characters who all work for an airline. Well, today the amazing Lou Harper created a new cover for me and it is so lovely. I am very excited. Now, I just have to get motivated to write story #2 entitled This is Your Captain Speaking!

The Law of the Jungle, Part 6

Henry had never seen anything like Blake’s penthouse. The same floor-to-ceiling windows that lined Blake’s office also lined his living room, affording a breathtaking view of Central Park and the city beyond. The furnishings were modern and obviously expensive, but not at all the lavish set up one would think a wealthy man like Blake would have. It was simple and comfortable, and Henry decided he liked it.

The bathroom, however, was another story. Luxurious to the point of near decadence, it was warm and inviting and fitted with the biggest tub that Henry had ever seen, complete with whirlpool jets. The shower was large as well with shower heads on three sides and one attached to the ceiling in the middle. It was easily big enough for two. His mouth dropped open at the sight.

With an indulgent chuckle, Blake said, “I save my extravagance for the things that really matter.”

The Next Big Thing

My co-writer, Eleanor Bruce tagged me in her Next Big Thing Blog Hop. So, in keeping with tradition, I am answering a few questions about my next writing project. And here we go…

apostolis_totsikas

What is the working title of your book?

Beware of Greeks Baring Gifts

Where did the idea come from for the book?

Old friends reuniting. (I ran into an ex on Bourbon Street who I hadn’t seen in 15 years. We both were in New Orleans on vacation…small world, uh?)

What genre does your book fall under?

Contemporary M/M romance with a GFY twist.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Apostolis Totsikas would play the main character, Stefan. (See pictures. Can we say hot?) And Welsh actor, Gareth David-Lloyd would play his former roommate and friend, Rhys.

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

Rhys and Stefan were best friends and roommates at uni, but circumstances and Rhys coming out severely damaged their relationship. Will the wedding of an old university friend bring them back together?

The Law of the Jungle (Part Five)

Henry moved quickly, almost too quickly, and next thing Blake knew he had a very persistent Henry Kadison looking down at him, holding on to his arm, so Blake couldn’t escape, and from the fierce look in his eyes, Henry showed no signs of relenting.

“Blake, you’re right, I don’t know what I want. I don’t know…because I didn’t expect this. I didn’t expect to meet you tonight. I didn’t expect you to show an interest in me. I’m just some farmer’s kid from Milton, Nebraska. But I do know I want you. I just…” Henry broke off, ducked his head, blushing.

Blake was stunned and astonished. Before Henry had turned away, he’d seen the sincerity in his eyes. Henry wasn’t a tease out looking for a thrill — he was innocent — the blush had given it away.

More from Henry and Blake. Just a little bit of a cliffhanger, but the following weeks will make up for it with sexytimes. 🙂 Thanks for continuing to read!

The Law of the Jungle (Part 4)

Blake was confused by the change; he thought Henry and he were on the same page about why they had come upstairs: sex. But from the look on Henry’s face, this wasn’t about to happen. Blake sighed. How come he always got the closet cases?

As a rule, Blake didn’t get involved with confused straight boys looking to experiment. He’d learned his lesson the hard way his sophomore year of college with Jeremy Winthrop. The Winthrop’s had money to rival the Rockefellers, which had been the reason Blake had been drawn to him at first. Jeremy didn’t need Blake’s money, he had his own, and it had been refreshing to have someone in his life who didn’t want to know him because of the Martin name.

Lovers for a semester, Blake had believed they were in love, but in reality he had been just a fling for his roommate. A way to pass the time until he got engaged to his girlfriend. The scorn on Jeremy’s face when Blake had pleaded for Jeremy to break off his engagement still was vivid. “You thought I loved you, Blake? It was just fucking. I’m not gay. I have a girlfriend.”

Just remembering Jeremy and his betrayal, made Blake angry all over again. How could he have been so wrong about Henry? In reality, Henry was just another Jeremy — out for himself.
